et al.: ohmygod — birthday present from No. 1 son!

Scrape me off the floor: my son, the Brave Soldier, is 35 today, and we got a birthday present from him today (sorta). We, and the other families in Medfield who have sons or daughters serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, have been invited to dinner on the 22nd with Curt and Shonda Schilling. Wish we didn’t qualify for the event, but it’s touching that the Schillings are reaching out to us. Their generosity, on scales large and small, cannot be over-estimated!
